In
2000, the NCHF introduced an ongoing national seminar
series to provide
the opportunity
for
stakeholders to discuss issues of national importance.
The seminars aimed to identify ways that these issues might
be responded to and encouraged wider discussion of them
across the sector. As a result, the seminars were only
a first step. Following each seminar a discussion paper
was
produced and circulated to provoke wider debate.
The seminars involved stakeholders in the community housing
sector (peaks, Australian, state and local governments,
Indigenous and church groups), and when appropriate,
individuals with particular expertise in the topic under discussion. To keep
the seminars at a manageable size attendance was by invitation only.
