About the Awards

The Awards were presented for the second time at the dinner of the Millennium Community Housing Conference on Tuesday, 28th November in Fremantle (WA).

The MC for the evening was Jenn Crowe , Manager of the Good Practice Unit at the NSW Federation of Housing Associations. She commented that the Awards provide

"a chance to sit back and have the opportunity to share with each other those things we do that we are so proud of – the differences we make, the people we assist, our creative and passionate commitment that is constantly tested – these are the reasons we are here tonight and these are why we have so many reasons to celebrate!"

The second year of the awards testify to the value they are given by the sector. Entries for the Awards came from all over the country; Associations, Co-ops, local government, Church groups, regional bodies and national organisations and the entries covered a range of exciting and innovative work that reflects the energy of the sector.
