The National
Awards for Excellence in Community Housing have
been established to recognise the achievements of the
community housing sector and to encourage excellence.
THE NEXT NATIONAL AWARDS
WILL BE HELD IN 2007.
At the 2000 Awards presentation Jenn Crowe, Manager
of the Good Practice Unit at the NSW Federation of Housing
Associations, commented that the Awards provide:
"a chance to sit back and have the opportunity
to share with each other those things we do that we
are so proud of - the differences we make, the people
we assist, our creative and passionate commitment
that is constantly tested - these are the reasons
we are here tonight and these are why we have so many
reasons to celebrate!"
The Awards are presented by the National Awards Council,
under the auspices of the National Community Housing
Forum as part of its role in building national infrastructure
for community housing.
